Laboratory Informatics became the focus of J&R Consulting a few years after we were formed in 1999. Initially, J&R was founded by two telecommunications consultants who simply wanted to provide the best services possible for their clients, independent of the limitations often encountered in larger, more bureaucratic organizations. So while our story begins with consultants from a different specialty, it certainly begins with consultants of a shared mindset. Because in truth, we never set out to create a company. We set out to create an environment that enabled talented consultants to produce the best work for the clients we served – without the limitations of geography, bureaucracy or status quo thinking. And in the end, we discovered that it was a pretty good way to build a company.
